38 Inveralmond students have arrived home with some fantastic memories after their trip to Paris.

Students at the Eiffel Tower

On Saturday 7th October, 38 senior phase pupils set off for Paris along with Mrs Moore, Mrs Smith, Miss Bailey and Mr Shaw.

We enjoyed an overnight ferry from Hull to Zeebrugge where some of our pupils had a dance off with pupils from another school!

On arrival in Paris on Sunday, we started our sightseeing from the River Seine with a lovely boat trip where we were able to take in the main sights of the city for the first time. We also had a short time to visit Notre Dame Cathedral and were lucky to catch the bells playing as we arrived.

On Monday, we became experts on the RER and métro underground, saving our tired feet a little! We started our day at the Eiffel Tower, and despite the long queue to get up, we enjoyed the Tower in all it's glory when the sun came out. Many of us even braved standing or sitting on the glass floor - some of the more crazy ones among us were even braver and lay face down on it!

We then enjoyed a late lunch in the Montmartre area where many of us spent some of our Euros in the tourist shops as well and visiting Sacre Coeur Cathedral.

Following lunch, we headed by métro again to La Défense, where we were able to take in La Grande Arche and enjoy some time shopping in the French shopping centre. Many of the girls had a ball in Sephora.

Tuesday was the highlight for many as we went to Disneyland. We spent the morning at the Disney Studios where many of us braved the Hollywood Tower of Terror! We then spent the afternoon in Disneyland itself where staff and pupils thoroughly enjoyed the parades, shops and more rides.

We left Paris on Wednesday morning and headed for our return ferry, making sure we had enough time to visit the beautiful town of Bruges where we had lunch and spent the last of our money on Belgian chocolates.

The staff were extremely proud of all 38 pupils we took with us. They were great fun, very responsible and respectful and an absolute credit to themselves, their families and the school. We are four very proud teachers, albeit extremely tired!!
