Archery World Champion
James Tocher, competed at the IFAA World Indoor Archery Championship in Romania

S2 Inveralmond student, James Tocher, competed at the IFAA World Indoor Archery Championship in Romania from 30th March to April 2nd along with over 300 other competitors.
James is the new Junior World Champion after winning the 13 to 17 years category. This means that James is the current Scottish, European and World Champion!
As well as winning the Gold Medal, James also set 2 new World Records, one of which was to score 291 out of 300. This is a score which not only won the Junior category but would have been good enough to beat all the adult males.
This is a phenomenal achievement as James has only been competing for two years, so many people are impressed with him, the Spanish competitor even filmed him to post on his YouTube channel.
James is now back in training and has his sights set on Hungary in February next year.
