Welcome to Inveralmond CHS

Dear Parent/Carer

It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the Inveralmond Community High School Website. I hope this website provides you with useful information about the school, our aims, our values and the many opportunities we offer your son or daughter.

As a comprehensive school, at Inveralmond Community High School we aim to ensure that all our young people develop the knowledge, skills, attributes and capabilities to help prepare them for the future. Our school vision is: Vision, Values & Purpose poster

Our curriculum is designed to meet the needs of all learners offering a vast range of qualifications and awards ranging from the core subjects such as English, Maths, Modern languages and Science to vocational qualifications such as Foundation apprenticeships. In doing so, we strive to help every young person to attain the very best attainment and achievement in order to thrive in the years to come.

In Inveralmond Community High School we give every child every chance possible; Each child should be able to participate in school curricular activities and extracurricular activities including school trips. No child who attends Inveralmond will be excluded from participation from any activity for financial reasons.

Approximate current school roll is 1040 students.

I firmly believe that strong partnership working will allow us to ensure that these aspirations become realities. We welcome parents as partners in the educational process and will strive to strengthen this partnership. Parents and teachers share the same hope for every child - that they will emerge into adult life as good citizens, well prepared and leading fulfilling lives. We want them to achieve the best possible qualifications and to recognise the importance of learning as a life long process. Working together will allow us to ensure that these aspirations become realities.
