Sportathon 2017
The night was a huge success with this years event lasting 12 hours
Over 100 pupils and staff undertook the annual Inveralmond CHS sponsored Sportathon recently.
The night was a huge success with this years event lasting 12 hours, with sports of all kinds running from 11.30am to 11.30 pm.
All pupils managed the gruelling but amazing 12 hours of sport.
Many sports and activities were offered this year throughout the night including football, dance, dodgeball, trampolining and even a very entertaining 'Yoga' session ran by Mr McVey.
As with every Sportathon since time began there are highs and lows for both pupils and staff. From the lows of losing a football game in the freezing cold to the highs of scoring your first touchdown in American Football and landing your first front somersaults. Hopefully these memories will last a lifetime for some of our pupils.
Overall we managed to raise just over £4000!!! Special congratulations must go to Breanna Samuel of third year, who this year broke the previous Inveralmond Sportathon record by raising a monumental £495!!! Thereby winning herself an IPad Mini 4. Well done Breanna!!!
A huge thank you and well done has to go out to all those pupils and staff who took part in the event and raised sponsorship for our school. Without your superb efforts and enthusiasm, the event would not have been such a success.
Now we must plan ahead for next year's Sportathon, making it bigger and better. Any ideas...?
