Practical Sessions information
As you may be aware we are facing ongoing challenges in the recruitment of staff within the Home Economics department of the school and have recently had no suitable applicants for our advertised vacancy that we currently have.
We have been continuously looking at ways to ensure that all of our learners are provided with a high quality learning experience relating to the subject, and as such we are working in partnership with West Lothian College to provide a two-hour practical session for all S1 and S2 students. This will involve a Hospitality lecturer from West Lothian College delivering practical inputs within the Home Economics department, providing each student the opportunity to develop key practical skills within a kitchen environment.
These sessions will be free of charge for all of our S1 and S2 learners, with the following timetable detailing when each practical set will be undertaking the session:
