Raising Attainment

Raising Attainment Evening - Tuesday 9th October 6 pm

08 October
ICHS

As you are aware S4/5/6 can be a very demanding time for your child and they are likely to need your support at such a crucial point in their lives.

Last year, a range of strategies were implemented to ensure pupils achieved their full potential. This resulted in the school achieving increased improvements in results and more pupils than ever are moving on to their preferred destination.

We have a senior Tracking and Monitoring system which will enable the progress of your child to be tracked regularly. At the event this system will be discussed and we will also detail the ways in which we can work together to best support your son/daughter throughout this session.

It is our aim to ensure your child is successful this year.

We know that attainment is your child's passport to personal, social, cultural and economic opportunities. Raising attainment will improve your child's life chances. It is a proven fact that young people always do better when families support their learning. You child's learning doesn't only take place in the classroom. Much of their learning takes place at home, through interacting with family, friends and the wider community. As a result, we would like you to join us on Tuesday 9 th October, where we will be discussing strategies to help support your child on their journey this year. Talking to your child to reassure and encourage them and taking an interest in what they are doing will help them get through what can be a stressful time and will help them to do their best.

We look forward to seeing you at this event.
