Humanutopia

We are hoping to engage with a programme called Humanutopia over the next few months

30 January
ICHS

We are hoping to engage with a programme called Humanutopia over the next few months. Humanutopia website

The programme is designed to empower young people to make positive change for themselves, their community and their peers. The 'Who am I' course is aimed at improving the mental health & wellbeing of participants by empowering them to make positive changes in their life. The topics covered through the course of the day are hope, confidence, happiness, employability and relationships.

We are working on a three day programme and as part of the second day training programme the S3 'Heroes' are to work with a group of younger pupils. This allows the investment in Humanutopia to build sustainability by training peer mentors within the school. We then repeat the 3 day programme in August.

This programme will help to shape our revised vision, values and purpose.

This programme is very much aligned with our school improvement plan, particularly;

Priority 3- Almost all pupils feel respected, safe and ready to learn

Priority 4- Young people have a greater confidence and understanding of the employability skills required for entry to and continuation within the future and current market place'.

This opportunity will also support young people in reimagining and implementing a revised vision, values and purpose for Inveralmond.

We have attached some slides with hyperlinks to videos with additional information on the work of Humanutopia and dates of provision. Icon for powerpoint Humanutopia PowerPoint [1.19MB]
