Reading Schools Award

We are delighted to announce that Inveralmond has been awarded a Reading Schools accreditation by the Scottish Book Trust.

Reading Schools is an accreditation programme for schools that are committed to building a reading culture for their learners and communities. Research proves that reading for pleasure is central in supporting equity and wellbeing, positively impacting learners' attainment across the curriculum, critical thinking, creativity, empathy and resilience.

We would like to thank everyone involved for all the hard work that has gone into building our reading culture, working through our action plan and collating the evidence.
