SQA Coursework & Exams

As you will be aware, young people are assessed in a range of ways throughout the year. In 2023/2024, SQA reintroduced elements of coursework which had previously been removed. This gives pupils an opportunity to demonstrate their capabilities in a wider range of ways which contribute to their final grade.

Practice Exams take place in November and December. These are extremely important however it is essential to note that they are only one of many assessment episodes, and young people are advised to aim for a sustained effort throughout the year to ensure success.
