FAO S5/S6 Parents/Carers.

Please see below information about the upcoming online events which the Student Awards Agency Scotland (SAAS) will be offering. These events are to support students who will be starting College or University in 2024/2025 and their Parents and Carers. There are a range of events over the coming months, details of each are below.

Parent and Carers Funding Talks
 
We will be delivering online funding talks which are designed specifically for the parents & carers of prospective higher education students. These sessions will be running from the 18 March. These sessions will:

• explain the funding available from SAAS to the parents/carers of those planning to undertake higher education courses (HNC/HND/Degree courses)
• highlight the information we require regarding household income details required from parents and carers
• provide information on the repayment of student loans; and
• provide direct access to a funding awareness advisor who can assist with specific or general queries you may have regarding SAAS

SAAS Online Application Workshops
 
We will also be hosting online application workshops which provide help with completing and submitting an application to SAAS for funding. These sessions can be attended by students and their parents and carers. These interactive workshops will:

• explain the funding available from SAAS for those planning to undertake higher education courses (HNC/HND/Degree courses); and
• provide information on the repayment of student loans; and
• have direct access to a funding awareness advisor who can assist you with the formal submission of your SAAS Application.
