Glow Recovery Email
All Glow users are being asked to set a recovery email address for their Glow account. This includes all pupils and staff.
What is a recovery email address?
A recovery email address is a second email address, different from your normal Glow email. It is used only to help you get back into your account if there's a problem. It must be a non-Glow email address. This can be a personal email address that you use (and are allowed to use for school), following school/parent/carer guidance.
Why is it important?
Having a recovery email address is like having a digital spare key for your Glow account. It helps you:
- If you forget your password
- If you get locked out of your account
- If your account is ever compromised
This is the fastest and safest way to get back into your Glow account if something goes wrong.
What do you need to do?
Log in to Glow. Go to your Glow profile (click on your name or profile icon). Find the option to add a recovery email address. Enter a non-Glow email address (for example, a personal email address you use). Save your changes. Full instructions are available in the Glow Connect news post: Setting a Glow Recovery Email Address (opens new window)
Please follow the steps in that guide carefully. Please set your recovery email address as soon as possible to help keep your account safe and to avoid problems logging in later.
